The German premiere of Codetta in C for Hosaphone(tm), Piano & Bass by David A. Roth took place on April 27, 1997 in Möhrendorf, 20 km north of Nuremberg. Hosaphone(tm) in German is Schlaufonium.
The Hosaphone(tm) Performing Artist was Lars Müller, accompanied by Georg Pickel. The 280 people who were in attendance in the hall gave enthusiastic applause to the technique of the HosaTwirl(tm) as the piece ended. Franz Müller reported that the concert was "big fun".
